Thirteen Georgia companies are announced as finalists for the ADVANCE Award that recognizes prolific, established fintech companies.

ATLANTA (May 24, 2022) – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) today announces the 13 finalists for the Fintech ADVANCE Awards as part of the awards and recognition at the annual Fintech South conference. The Fintech ADVANCE Awards seek to provide recognition to established firms that promote innovation and growth in the state of Georgia’s fintech industry.

Every year, TAG accepts applications submitted by fintech organizations or their public relations partners. Applications are then reviewed by the ADVANCE Awards committee, comprised of TAG members in the fintech industry. While in years past only 12 finalists were selected as ADVANCE Awards finalists, this year’s competitive applicant pool has led the committee to select 13 finalists.

“This awards program shines a light on innovation coming from established companies with ties to Georgia,” said Maria Luisa Pineda, Co-Chair of the Fintech ADVANCE Awards. “Unlike the Innovation Challenge that focuses on early-stage companies, ADVANCE Awards is a great program for uncovering ‘wins’ within companies that innovate over time. The program also requires a customer reference, which instills confidence that the winners are indeed providing real value through technology.”

This year’s finalist companies are as follows:

  • AGORA
  • BITCOIN DEPOT
  • BITPAY
  • CAPWAY
  • FIRSTVIEW FINANCIAL
  • LAYR
  • PARKMOBILE
  • PAYA
  • PAYRIX
  • RELAY PAYMENTS
  • STEADY
  • TRUSTSTAMP
  • VESTA

“On behalf of the Technology Association of Georgia, I would personally like to congratulate these thirteen finalists for their contributions to the ever-growing fintech industry in the state of Georgia,” said Larry Williams, President and CEO of TAG. “Financial technology is one of the fastest growing sectors within the Georgia economy, and its growth would not be possible without these established leaders of innovation.”

Up to six of the 13 finalists of the ADVANCE Awards will be declared winners live on stage at Fintech South on June 14th.
